Japan advises normal precautions for Fiji.
Australia advises normal precautions for Fiji.
Take normal precautions despite good security: petty theft is common in Fiji, with more urban crime. Avoid isolated areas at night and beware drink spiking and sexual assault in bars and nightclubs, especially for solo women. Guard PINs against card fraud, maintain food and water hygiene, and prevent insect bites as dengue increases. Public hospitals have lower standards, but Suva and larger cities have medical facilities usually requiring cash payment.
Travel to Fiji is generally safe when normal precautions are followed. Remain especially vigilant during the hurricane season from November to April, as Fiji is relatively safe but still requires caution and vigilance.
Exercise normal security precautions in Fiji, but remain alert for petty crime, especially in downtown Suva and Nadi. Violent crime occurs particularly in downtown Suva, Denarau Island and Colo-I-Suva Forest Park, so avoid isolated areas and walking after dark. Be vigilant about methanol-adulterated alcohol in southern Fiji and card fraud. Outdoor activities and unsupervised beaches can be dangerous, so seek local advice and avoid poor weather.
Take normal precautions when travelling to Fiji, but consult other countries’ travel information because Estonia has no representation there. Drivers need a valid Estonian licence and an international driving permit under the Geneva Convention. Estonian citizens may stay without a visa for four months, but Fiji may change entry conditions without prompt notice, so confirm current requirements and seek consular assistance in Canberra or Suva if needed.
Germany advises normal precautions for Fiji.
Hong Kong advises normal precautions for Fiji.
Exercise normal precautions in Fiji, but remain alert to petty crime, luggage theft, credit-card fraud and ATM skimming, especially outside resort areas. Violent robbery affects foreign tourists particularly after dark in Suva and other towns, and driving at night between Nadi and Suva is dangerous. Protect yourself from leptospirosis, typhoid, Zika, dengue and riptides, and check tour operators and safety equipment for water activities.
Take normal precautions, but beware of pickpocketing and theft, especially in cities, nightclubs and markets, and of credit card fraud and ATM skimming. Sexual assault is a risk, so avoid remote streets, parks and beaches, especially after sunset and in Suva. Prepare for storms, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis and dangerous currents, avoid demonstrations, and do not drive after sunset outside cities, as the Nadi to Suva road has many accidents.
No special travel advisory is issued for Fiji. Singaporeans should follow the government’s general travel advice and conduct their own research using reputable sources before travelling.
Exercise usual precautions. Avoid demonstrations, rallies, public political discussion, and military or police activity because political instability may cause unrest. Guard against evening petty theft and credit-card scams in cities and tourist destinations. Avoid night driving outside urban areas, use only licensed taxis and minibuses with yellow plates, and take precautions against disease, cyclones, earthquakes, tsunami warnings, rip currents, sexual assault affecting solo women, and poisoning at kava ceremonies.
Normal precautions apply, with no warning against travel. Stay alert to terrorism and avoid demonstrations and street gatherings; serious crime is generally low but sexual assault occurs, so protect belongings in tourist areas. Dengue, Zika, chikungunya and HIV/AIDS are health risks; healthcare is limited and serious cases may require overseas evacuation. Yachts may enter only through Suva, Lautoka, Savusavu and Levuka; Nadi, Denarau and other ports require prior agreement.
Exercise normal precautions when traveling to Fiji, as it is generally a safe destination. Exercise increased caution in Colo I Suva Forest Park because of the risk of crime.
