| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| 2026-10-28 | US air fares: /v1/fares gives the average domestic fare at each US airport every quarter, weighted by passengers over its largest markets, from 2015 |
| 2026-10-28 | Seat capacity: /v1/seats gives the seats offered each month on the routes of European countries, by airport pair, by partner country, or in total beside the country's arrivals, from 2019 |
| 2026-10-28 | Hotel rates by place: /v1/hotels gives the average daily rate, revenue per available room and occupancy for provinces, tourist zones and tourist points, monthly, starting with Spain |
| 2026-10-28 | Prices: /v1/prices gives the monthly consumer price of hotels, air fares and package holidays in European countries, as an index (2025 = 100) and its change on a year, beside each country's nights for the same month |
| 2026-10-27 | Destinations: /v1/destinations lists the places inside a country, from regions to NUTS 3 regions and about 700 named European cities, each with its nights and the country's own nights for the same period. Short-stay rentals booked online are counted by region, monthly from 2018 |
| 2026-10-24 | Coverage and counts, free: /v1/coverage gives every total behind the published numbers (values, series, countries), what each counts, and the checks that show they reconcile |
| 2026-10-23 | How each country counts its visitors now says why its figures come when they do, for every country, and flags a country that is later than its kind of counting usually is (/v1/countries/{iso}/method and each country page) |
| 2026-10-23 | Monthly figures added for Chile, Eswatini (from 2012), Guatemala (from 2021), Zimbabwe (from 2023) and Uzbekistan (2026), quarterly figures for Georgia (from 2014), and hotel guests for Oman |
| 2026-10-23 | Argentina: a country total of non-resident tourists, added up from the published parts by route (air, river and sea, land) and market, is now its headline; one part (Brazilians by air) was shown before |
| 2026-10-23 | Mexico's headline is now its international tourists, not same-day visitors; how Mexico, Iceland, Jersey and Argentina count their visitors is written up in /v1/countries/{iso}/method |
| 2026-10-23 | Country headlines: a series that is not tourism (car registrations, aircraft movements, residents travelling abroad) or only part of a country can no longer be taken as a country's headline |
| 2026-10-23 | How each country counts its visitors, free: /v1/countries/{iso}/method and /v1/methods (border records, accommodation registers, a traveller survey or airport counts; how often and how late each publishes; revisions and the changes behind breaks), shown near the top of every country page |
| 2026-10-23 | United Kingdom: visits now run to the second quarter of 2025 as a quarterly series, carried back with the monthly history added up into quarters, so the country no longer stops at June 2024 |
| 2026-10-23 | A page for the year so far, /2026: daily passenger figures, holidays in the main markets, daily exchange rates, and every month the countries have published, with filters |
| 2026-10-22 | Every documentation page now has a short address, /documentation/{name}; the older /documentation/guides/ and /documentation/endpoints/ addresses redirect there for good |
| 2026-10-22 | Webhook and delivery ids are now opaque codes (wh_ and whd_ followed by eight characters) in answers and in the X-Webhook-Id and X-Delivery-Id headers |
| 2026-10-22 | Population for every country, free: totals, women and men, children, working age and older people, towns and countryside, births, deaths, life expectancy and migration (/v1/population), age pyramids by sex, yearly history, and each country's latest census (/v1/census) |
| 2026-10-22 | Free reference and calendars: every country's codes, currency and time zones (/v1/reference/countries, /v1/reference/timezones/{iso}), holidays on a date, long weekends and a holidays-by-month grid (/v1/holidays/on, /v1/holidays/long-weekends/{iso}, /v1/holidays/matrix), and a cross-rate grid (/v1/fx/matrix) |
| 2026-10-22 | Free summaries: what is held for every country and measure (/v1/coverage/matrix), the seasonal index by month (/v1/seasons), yearly totals (/v1/annual/{year}) and the direction of each country's latest month (/v1/direction) |
| 2026-10-22 | A country now counts as monthly only with a monthly count of visitors, arrivals, guests or nights of at least 12 months: receipts, rates and indexes are still served but no longer make a country monthly, and rail passenger-kilometres no longer count as tourism coverage |
| 2026-10-22 | Cayman Islands: months read a thousand times too large removed, and the reading now leaves such a cell out |
| 2026-10-22 | Seasons: a year with a missing month still counts when nine or more of its months are held |
| 2026-10-21 | Longer histories on the country pages where a longer series gives the same count: Thailand from 2015, Antigua and Barbuda from 2000, Estonia from 1996 |
| 2026-10-21 | Country charts: a range that would show no more months than a shorter one is greyed out, and a click or tap on the chart shows the month |
| 2026-10-21 | Spain: every national tourism table read in full, about 2.1 million figures added |
| 2026-10-21 | United States: international air seats and flights by partner country, monthly from 2014 |
| 2026-10-21 | Monthly arrivals added for Palau, the Cook Islands, the Solomon Islands and Guam; Zanzibar is held on its own beside Tanzania and not counted as Tanzania |
