Australia advises normal precautions for Lithuania.
Exercise normal precautions in Lithuania, with good security, but guard against pickpocketing in larger cities and occasional car theft. Expect flight delays and cancellations around Vilnius Airport, with flights possibly diverting to Kaunas or Riga. Allow extra time at crossings to Poland. Only Medininkai and Salcininkai are open to Belarus, and pedestrian and cyclist traffic at these crossings is suspended; cars registered in Belarus are generally barred from entering Lithuania.
Belgium advises that Lithuania can generally be travelled safely while following usual precautions. Air traffic to and from Vilnius Airport may occasionally be disrupted by balloons sent from Belarus across the border, potentially closing the airport for several hours.
Exercise normal security precautions in Lithuania. Be alert for military debris from the conflict in Ukraine and balloons linked to smuggling in Belarus, which have entered Lithuanian airspace and could cause border restrictions, flight cancellations or airspace closures. Petty crime, payment fraud, cybercrime, terrorism, demonstrations and harassment are risks, as is sexual assault linked to spiked food or drinks. Secure valuables, follow alerts, use caution online and avoid demonstrations.
Most Danes have no problems visiting Lithuania, but remain alert to pickpocketing, especially in Vilnius and on public transport, vehicle break-ins, drink spiking, nightlife theft or assault, open WiFi hacking, violent demonstrations and traffic accidents. Although Lithuania has had no terrorist attacks, attacks may occur without warning. Strict laws prohibit all drugs and public drinking. LGBT+ people should avoid public displays of affection, especially outside large cities.
Exercise normal precautions when travelling to Lithuania. Carry a valid ID card or passport throughout the trip, including for children, and consider travel insurance and a European Health Insurance Card. When driving, check that your licence and vehicle documents are valid and review local speed, drink driving and parking rules. Estonian citizens can enter without a visa, and Estonian digital prescriptions can be used at Lithuanian pharmacies.

Exercise normal precautions in Lithuania, which Hungary classifies as safe, and note that crossings on the Belarus border have reopened for travel. Protect valuables and travel documents because crimes affecting foreign nationals, especially tourists, are mainly property offences such as pickpocketing. Road hauliers should use secure, well lit, preferably monitored overnight parking. Unidentified balloons from Belarus have triggered airspace restrictions and temporary Vilnius Airport closures, so allow for delays.
Exercise normal precautions when travelling to Lithuania. Although the domestic terrorism threat is low, the global risk of indiscriminate attacks remains, and tourists may face petty crime, including pickpocketing or bag-snatching. Prepare for possible drone-related air hazards by enabling alerts and, if directed, going immediately to a marked shelter and remaining there until the danger passes. Drive on the right and use winter tyres from 10 November to 1 April.
Japan advises normal precautions for Lithuania.
Take normal precautions in Lithuania and follow local authorities because drones may enter airspace. No acute terrorism threat exists, though attacks remain possible; drugs including soft drugs carry long prison sentences, and photographing military or specified government buildings is prohibited. Belarus and Kaliningrad border areas face a state of emergency, strict controls and identity checks; Belarus crossings are often closed. LGBTQ+ travellers face discrimination and aggression, especially outside Vilnius.
Exercise normal precautions when travelling to Lithuania. Singapore citizens may visit without a visa for up to 90 days within 180 days, but should carry a passport and meet Schengen validity rules. Guard against petty crime and car or bicycle theft, and take extra care on country roads; avoid drugs and gifts from strangers, and prepare for extreme cold, hazardous winter weather and local driving rules.
Use the usual precautions in Lithuania because no security reasons warrant advising against travel. Avoid the narrow land-border zone with Russia (Kaliningrad) and Belarus; freight and passenger road crossings are limited to Medininki and Šalčininki, with restrictions also affecting pedestrians and cyclists. Exercise caution at busy tourist sites and avoid photographing military facilities. Note tick-borne infection risks and take extra care on snowy or icy winter roads.
Take normal precautions in Lithuania. British citizens may visit visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period under Schengen passport rules, but may document accommodation, insurance and funds; work requires separate permission. Biometric checks may delay crossings; overstaying may cause a Schengen entry ban of up to three years, with checks before departure via Dover, Folkestone or St Pancras.
