Hong Kong advises normal precautions for Pitcairn.
Take normal precautions, but secure passports, money and valuables, and observe the strict ban on using, possessing or selling drugs, including soft drugs. Be prepared for tropical storms between November and April, landslides and falling rocks after heavy rain, and strong currents and high waves. Travel insurance covering hospital admission and repatriation is compulsory, medical evacuation is only possible by boat, and there is no Dutch embassy on the islands.
Use normal precautions when travelling to Pitcairn Island, but ensure your passport is valid for your stay and arrange comprehensive insurance, including medical evacuation. Visits over 14 days require prior entry clearance, and a yellow fever certificate may be required when arriving from a transmission risk country. Declare prohibited or taxable goods and observe controls on plant and animal products. Medical facilities and emergency services are limited.
