June 2026 brought 33,340 visitor arrivals to Saint Lucia, down 0.9% on the same month a year earlier and at 97.9% of the June 2019 level. It marked a reversal after rises of 4.0% in January, 1.4% in February, 1.2% in March, 8.5% in April and 0.7% in May. The year to date stood 2.5% above the same months of 2025, and the last time the calendar month of June was higher was 2025.
Among twenty countries in the region, Saint Lucia's June change ranked 14. Rivals Antigua and Barbuda fell 4.4% on the year in the same month, Grenada fell 1.5%, and Saint Kitts and Nevis fell 9.4%, while Turks and Caicos Islands rose 13.8%. Barbados, for which April was the most recent reading, fell 7.5% on the year. Belize's most recent figure on record was a 1.5% rise in December 2016.
Jet fuel stood at $3.04 a gallon in June 2026, up 45.3% on a year, while the 2026 economic growth projection was 1.2%. Forecasts pointed to year on year rises of 1.4% in July, 2.1% in August, and 10.5% in September. The best month on record remained March 2024 with 44,561 arrivals.
